Math Still Considered Overrated in the Bluegrass State

In a discussion about the QQ vs. AQ hand I mentioned in passing that with such short stacks I was surprised they didn't just get it all-in preflop and that, "the hands really played themselves."

"You'd call my all-in preflop?" asked Chad.

"Well, if I have 18 big blinds, I am pretty much reraising all-in their most every time."

"Really?"

"Well, I think the math kind of dictates it."

"Do you always play by the math?" Chad asked, seeming confused and concerned.

"Only when I know it," I responded.
