Rachel Takes Her 3rd One

Jason moved all-in from the small blind and Rachel called with Kd10s, which had Jason's Qs10c in some bad shape.

There was hope for Jason when the cards came out A-7-3 all spades and Jason held a bigger spade than Rachel. The 5c on the turn was no help and Rachel dodged a spade when the 9d fell on the river. She has now won half of the MNS events so far.

Heads Up Chip Counts

Jason - 9K
Rachel - 51.2K

As Jason (pictured) put it, "we have a David v. Goliath situation here."

Randy Takes 3rd

The incredibly consistent Randy has cashed yet again. He raised to 4K from the button and Rachel moved all-in from the big blind. Randy likely expected his pocket threes to be racing when he called, but insead he found himself up against the pocket kings of Rachel. The kings held and Randy had to settle for 3rd and the $25 rebate of his entry fee.

The Randinator!

Rachel called from the button. Randy completed the small blind. Jason checked his option. The flop came 8d-7h-4h and Randy bet out 2.5K. Jason folded and Rachel thought before saying, "she'd gamble with him," and called. The Ac on the turn didn't slow Randy down and he again bet 2.5K.

Rachel gasped with indignation before asking, "what are you gonna do if I hit that ace there?"

"Well you didn't," Randy quipped. He must have been right, as Rachel folded.

Update

Blinds Up! 500/1K

Jason - 8.5K
Rachel - 38.4K
Randy - 10.1K

Rachel. I beg of you. Buy a lotto ticket.

Rachel raised from under the gun to 2.5K and Paul moved all-in for 7.4K more. Rachel thought for a moment before calling with A-Q. She was again behind another player's A-K. That is, until the flop again came Q high. Her pair of queens held again and she eliminated Paul in 4th place.

We are now in the money. The payouts are as follows:

1 - $180
2 - $90
3 - $25

Joe D's Luck Runs Out

Randy moved all-in for 6.4K from the button and Joe called for his last 5.3K in the big blind. For the first time all night, Joe didn't have the best of it and held KsJc to Randy's pocket fives. The fives held and Joe was eliminated in 5th place.

Rachel Takes Another One

On a flop of Ad-Qc-10c Joe fire 2.4K and Rachel called. Both checked when the 7h came on the turn. Joe checked again sfter an 8s on the river. Rachel bet 2.4K and Joe decided to look her up and called. She showed Ad6h and Joe mucked.

Mad Man Sent Home

Kevin moved all-in from the button for his last 4.6K and Rachel called from the small blind. She held AK to Kevin's A-10. The flop came Q-8-4 and Kevin picked up some additional chop outs when a second Q fell on the turn. It was not to be though as a six came on the river and Kevin was eliminated in 6th place.

Hope the conference call went better than the game Kevin.

Mad Man. We're Gonna Have to Talk About this One.

Kevin "Mad Man" M raised to 2K from the hijack leaving himself with a mere 2.2K behind. Joe called from the big blind and check folded after the flop came K-J-7 and, predictably, Kevin moved all-in.

Sigh.

Kevin M limped from the cutoff. Rachel limped from the button. Randy (pictured) moved all-in from the small blind for 4K more. Everyone....folded.

Blinds Up

Now is where the real poker begins ; )

Joe Runs Goot

Joe got it all-in again this time with Joe holding jacks to Sam's (pictured) KQ. The jacks held and he doubled up while Same was eliminated.

Rachel got her turn to double up when Kevin M raised and she moved all-in over the top of him. She was behind with her Ad Qd as Kevin had Ac Kh. She hit the flop big time though when it came queen-high with two diamonds. The queens held and Rachel lived to play in the next hand when this happened:

She and Paul Lea got it all-in with Rachel holding queens to Paul's KQ. The pair of queens again hold and she left Paul with not a ton of chips.

Bye Brian

Brian moved all-in from early position and Joe called from the big blind.

"I'm guessing you're ahead," Brian said.

Joe was. As per usual. This time he held A-10 to Brian's QJ. An ace on the flop gave Joe a big lead and the ace on the turn left Brian drawing dead. GG Brian.Seven players left.

Tootie Headed Home to Ice His Ear

Thanks for the commentacular love Laurie! Too awesome!

In a raised pot on a flop of As-6c-7c it checked to Tootie, who moved all-in for 4.5K or so. Rachel thought a while before folding and then Paul moved all-in. Everyone else folded and Paul showed A-J for top pair. Tootie held 6c7c for a flush draw. He picked up some additional outs with a 10d on the turn, but the Ad on the river gave Paul the pot and sent Tootie packin.

It's Bidness Time

Kevin "Mad Man" M is multi-tasking and both playing at the final table and participating in a conference call.

***EDIT***
Kevin just tried to justify his play to Tootie by explaining, "he was in the blind."

He was also not on mute. Whoops.

Kevin then says into the phone, "oh sorry, I was just talking to myself."

Tootie Goes for Quads, Falls Short

Brian (pictured) raised from under the gun and it folded around to Tootie, who moved all-in from the big blind. Tootie held As9s while Brian had KQ. The board came 9-6-4-9 and Tootie screamed for a nine so he could make quads on the river and take the high hand. The river was a five and Tootie had to settle for just doubling up.

Rachel Doubles...Joe D Continues to Get Drawn Out On

Looks like that one hand where Joe's KQ held against Tim's K-10 was a fluke and he is back to his normal ways of getting it in way good and losing. Rachel just doubled up with A7 against his pocket eights.

Blinds Up

200/400

"It is either all-in or I am going to go pee." - Tootie

Looks like he went with the latter.

Fashion Advice from the Mad Man

"I don't wear black because it brings out the white in my hair."

Break Time!

Chip counts coming soon

I'm Out

I moved all-in for 3,200 and Jason moved all-in over the top. Classic race with my AK vs his queens. Queens good. Back to blogging.

Tim Can't Threepeat

Tim moved all-in for 1600 and once again Joe D called. He had Tim in bad shape again , this time holding KhQh to Tim's K-10. Tim failed to 3 out Joe and he was out in 11th. Final table time kids!

Tristan Out

We're down to eleven.

It Isn't Tripling Up, But It'll Do

Tim just doubled up again. He moved all-in for 825 total and Joe D (pictured) reraised all-in from the small blind. Tim appeared to be in bad shape with his Jd-10h as Joe D had Ac-Jh. However, Tim took a lead in the hand after the flop came Jc-10d-9s. There was a 9c on the turn and 5d on the river, which gave Tim the pot and doubled him up to around 2,000 chips

One Twin and Then Another

Meredith has been eliminated.

"Pocket nines vs K2," she explained.

Bye Twin!

Allison (pictured) and Jason began this hand by kvechting about how bad their cards have been. The Allison raised to 600, I called, and Jason moved all-in from the small blind. Allison quickly called and I shed a small, sad tear before folding. Allison held pocket queens while Jason had pocket kings. The kings held and my kinda/sorta twin was eliminated.

After the hand I showed the pocket nines I folded and we all marveled at how rigged that hand was considering it is a 7-handed table.

Blinds Up!

100/200

Potty Mouths

The UK table has given up on the poker and are instead having a cursing contest. I would try to convey some of the delightful wordplay going on here, but I think it would come across as just a bunch of asterics.

BIG NEWS

I almost forgot the most important news of the day!

Tim the Mulleted Wonder is no longer! The mullet has been cut and we will heretofor refer to him as the Tim formerly known as the Mulleted Wonder (TFKAMW)

Baconator Sizzled: Tim Doubled

Kevin R (pictured)is headed home to tend to the bacon. The circumstances of his elimination are still murky, but he claims "Mad Man" continues to make good folds.

Hullo?

Tootie just asked, "where is the pig f***er?"

Yeah Chet, where you be?

Allison and I Give Meredith and Rachel a Run for Their Money

For reasons I will never understand, several players around here continue to confuse me with Allison. Perhaps it is because we started playing here around the same time, perhaps it is because we are both a little pale...who knows.

Normally I find this mildly irritating, but today Allison and I can't really say anything because we appear to be dressed exactly the same AND are seated right next to each other.

See?

Tim Needs his Triple Up Please

Jason raised to 300 from under the gun and Joe D, Tootie, and myself called behind him. Tim (pictured) then re-raised all-in for around 5.5K more, Jason folded, and Joe D called. Tootie and I had a race to muck our cards and Tim and Joe were the only two players left. Joe had pocket aces while Tim held pocket jacks. The bigger pair once again prevailed and now Tim is left with less than 2K in chips.

Oh, btw blinds have been going up and are now at 75/150

Keith First One Out

Keith limped in from early position, Brian raised to 400, Jason and Joe called and Keith moved all-in. Brian quickly moved all-in over the top of him and everyone else folded. Keith held pocket 3s, which were way behind Brian's pocket queens. The queens held and Keith won the honor of first one out.

Meredith Doubles Thru the Mad Man

Meredith and Kevin "Mad Man" M (pictured) got it all-in on a flop of Ks-10d-4s with Meredith holding K-9 for top pair while Kevin had As-3s for the nut flush draw. The turn and river came 4c, 5c and Meredith doubled up.

Sister, Sister. Never Knew How Much I Missed Ya

In a multi-way limped pot with a flop of 10h-7d-6s Kevin "Mad Man" M bet 200 from under the gun, Rachel (pictured) called from middle position and Meredith moved all-in for 1,075 more. In a remarkable display of discipline, Kevin folded K-10 and Rachel went in the tank again.

After a couple of minutes Meredith called clock on her sister.

"F***in B***h," Rachel muttered before folding.

Meredith showed 8-9 for a flopped straight.

We here at the blog would like to congratulate the Mad Man on his nice fold of top pair. Maybe there is hope for him after all = )

Ace-Freshman

Meredith (pictured)open shoved all-in for 1225 and it folded around to Rachel in the big blind. She thought for a while and Meredith offered to show her one card, but the table informed her it would be in poor form. Rachel continued to ponder the decision.

"I think you have like ace rag," she told her sister.

"Not ace rag," Meredith replied.

"Ok, ace middle card," Rachel clarified.

"Ace freshman?" I suggested.

"It is a lot like that," Meredith said.

Rachel eventually folded and Meredith showed the table Ace-9th grader.

Blinds Up!

25/50

The UK table is being regaled with the story of how a small child kicked the crap out of Tootie's ear. Y'all are missing out.

Deja Vu...and then again...

Our remote reporter Rachel just gave us a hot tip from the red table. In a raised pot, Randy bet out 100 and Paul raised to 600. Randy called. On the turn, Randy bet 100, Paul raised to 600, Randy called. On the river....Randy bet 100...wait, it gets better...Paul raised to 800 and Randy folded.

"I just thought he liked to raise," Randy explained.

Cards in the Air!

16 players (including a posted Baconator). Blinds 25/25.

Nice Weather = Less People

Small crowd here tonight. Kevin "The Baconator" R. is the victim of an unfortunate incident of bacon time mismanagement (100% serious kids) so it remains unclear whether or not he will play.
