Total Baconation

A deal has been reached and Kevin "The Baconator" R. has been declared our winner. Allison finishes a respectable second, and we all get to head out of here at a reasonable hour. Yay for reasonable dealmaking = )

Bacon Tears Eric to Bits

On a flop of 10h-7c-6d Eric bet 3K and Kevin "Fields of Bacon" R called. Eric checked when the 9d came on the turn and Kevin fired 10K. Eric paused before moving all-in and Kevin quickly called. Kevin showed 10-5 for top pair with a gut shot while Eric held A-Q for ace high. The deuce on the river was irrelevant and Eric walks away in 3rd place and $50 richer.

Oh Yeah...Da Monies...

Here are the payouts:

1st - $315
2nd - $150
3rd - $50

But...But...It's Never Happened This Way

Rachel moved all-in from the button for her last 6.9K and Kevin "Baconara" R called from the big blind. He was ahead for the moment with Ah3s, but Rachel wasn't too far behind with her KsQh.

She took the lead on the Q-8-7 flop, but the ace on the turn left her trailing. The meaningless 5 on the river meant Rachel is not going to threepeat. We're investigating the deck to make sure this is right, but stay tuned for updates.

Chippies!

Updated Chip Counts:
Kevin "Mein Baconschpeil" R - 35.6K
Allison - 31.8K
Eric - 27K
Rachel - 9.6K

Chris J Goes Away

After a long and valiant fight with his short stack, Chris J moved all-in for 6K total and Kevin quickly moved all-in behind him. Chris' pocket jacks were up against the pocket rockets of the Bacon Man. Hope was not lost for Chris when the flop came 10-9-2 all spades and Chris held the only spade between the two of them. Kevin's hand held up though as the turn and river came Kh, 4c, respectively.

Chris was eliminated in 5th place and we are now on the money bubble.

Baconeutered

After losing a substantial amount of chips to Rachel on the previous hand (sorry, a girl can't cover anything) when he paid off her river bet only to learn she had a full house, the pair tangled on the very next hand.

Kevin "Nator of Bacon" R min-raised the button and Rachel called from the big blind. The flop came 10c-9s-7h and Rachel (say it with me now) pulled a Rachel and checked in the dark. Kevin bet 4K, Rachel moved all-in and Kevin quickly called. Rachel showed 10-4, but Kevin had her outkicked with Q-10. The turn and river were no help to her and Kevin doubled to 20K or so, while Rachel dropped to 10K.

Rachel Doubles Again. Crowd Yawns.

Rachel moved all-in for her last 7,800 and Eric (pictured) thought briefly before calling from the small blind. He was hoping to gamble with his 9c10c, but it turned out he was crushed by Rachel's Ah10h. The board ran out Qd-Jh-4h-Qc-10s and Rachel doubled up to around 15K.

Zuh?

Despite the blinds being enormous, we somehow had a pot with four limpers. After a flop of Jc-8d-6h Kevin "Monsieur Baconateure" Rachel (pictured) checked in the small blind, Allison checked in the big blind, Rachel checked from under the gun, and Eric checked in the cutoff. When the 5h came on the turn it checked to Rachel, who bet 2.5K. Eric folded, Kevin called, and Allison folded. The river was the 3h and both checked.
"Ace high," Rachel called.

"Me too," Kevin responded. "Queen kicker." He turned over his hand and Rachel mucked.

Shipwrecked!

Patrick "Shipwreck" K. was eliminated when his Q7 was no match for Eric's A-2. Five players remain and blinds are up to 500/1K

Laurie Loses

Kevin and Rachel limped into the pot, Laurie moved in for her last 600, and Eric checked his option in the big blind. The board was checked down as it ran out Ah-Qd-3s-8c-5d. Rachel showed As7s for a pair of aces and everyone else mucked Laurie flashed her pocket deuces and headed home in 7th place.

Michael is Armenia Bound

Kevin R limped in, Michael moved all-in for around 8K and Allison (pictured) quickly moved all-in behind him, having the whole table covered. It folded around and Michael's AK was drawing slim against Allison's pocket kings. A king on the flop pretty much sealed the deal for Allison and she added even more to her substantial chip lead.

Michael is actually headed to pick up Sosse, but he'll be back to Armenia eventually...so it isn't a total lie.

Laurie Has 2 Chips and a Chair

It folded around to Rachel on the button and she moved all-in for 7.4K. Laurie (pictured) quickly called only to learn she was in bad shape with her pocket sevens as Rachel held pocket tens. Laurie picked up an open-ended straight draw as the board came X-8-6-9, but another 9 on the river left her with only 600 chips as Rachel doubled up to around 15K.

Dessert Rose

Laurie still has her priorities in order. She just came back from fetching a beverage from the fridge and announced:

"Oh my God, there are 2 parts of the dessert in the freezer: Frozen Rollos and some sort of Milky Way"

Goooooooooooooooooooooooo food!

Blinds Are....

obscene.

Or, 400/800

Hear That Fat Sizzle!

Rachel and Laurie both limped in early position and Kevin "El Bacanator" R raised to 3.2K on the button. Rachel called, Laurie folded, and Rachel "pulled a Rachel", also known as checking in the dark. The flop came 9h-5d-2h and Kevin moved all-in for his last 5.5K. Rachel folded. But the Baconator still had some sizzle left....

A few hands later he and Chad got it all-in pre-flop with Chad holding K-10 to Kevin's A-K. No ten for Chad and he was eliminated in 9th place. Kevin is up to 22K.

BACON!!! Baconbaconbaconbaconbaconbaconbacon

Mmmmm....Forbidden Brownie...

Laurie's concentration has drifted from the game and is now solely focused on the delightful brownie sundae featured in the last post. If I were her, I would just move all-in blind and go find me some dessert, but my love for food is unparralleled.

Chippies!

Here are some updated chip counts from the final table:

Seat 1: Allison - 24K
Seat 2: Chad - 6.7K
Seat 3: Rachel - 18.5K
Seat 5: Laurie - 8.5K
Seat 6: Patrick "Shipwreck" K - 6.1K
Seat 7: Eric - 17.4K
Seat 8: Chris J - 3.9K
Seat 9: Kevin "The Baconator" R - 10.2K
Seat 10: Michael - 8.9K

Chet From South Dakota Goes to Sonic

Rachel completed the small blind and Chet moved all-in from the big blind for 2.5K total. Rachel felt she was priced in and called with 4h6h while Chet held Qh10d. A six on the flop put Rachel in the lead, where she stayed until the completion of the hand. Chet was eliminated in 10th place and is now off to find his wife "ice cream and maybe a brownie."

Mmmmmmm.......nummmers.......Good luck on your quest Chet!

A Little Girl On Girl Action

Chris J, who recently doubled up again, limped in under the gun and it folded around to Sam who moved all-in for her last 1,600 from the button. Allison called in the big blind and Chris J called as well. They both checked it down as the board ran out Ks-10c-4c-Js-Kh. Chris showed Ah9h for ace high and Allison turned over QcJh for a pair of jacks. Sam mucked and she was eliminated in 11th place. We're now at the final table ::cue the classic Asia song::

Blinds Up!

300/600

Baconator Takes One Down

Kevin R (pictured), king of all meats of the smoked variety, just pulled off a pretty nice play. On a Q-Q-J flop Kevin checked in the small blind, Rachel bet 1,000 and Kevin moved all-in. Rachel thought for some time before flashing a queen and folding. Kevin turned up J-9 and proceeded to laugh maniacally. I guess bacon can do that to you.

Chris J Lives to Play

Chris J moved all-in from the button for his last thousand and Michael (pictured) called from the big blind with Qs2c--not the hand you want when you're opponent holds pocket ducks. The board came J-7-6-A-6 and the ducks held to double up.

Break Over, Blinds Up

Dude, don't make me repeat myself, just see above.

Gimme A Break!

Okay, we're on break for fifteen minutes. When we get back, blinds will be up to 200/400.

Illiteracy is Contagious

So last week I couldn't read my cards. Apparently the disease is spreading. Chet (pictured) just called a big river bet thinking he had a pair of jacks when, in actuality, he held KQ. Looks like one of the symptoms of illiteracy is a killer case of red eye.

Blinds Up!

Blinds are now 150/300. 12 players left.

Johnny Moss Blows

I'm Out. Epic fail. Stoopid A10.

Tim Walks

Allison and Chet limped in from middle position and Paco raised to 1,000 total on the button. Tim (pictured) moved all-in for his last 625 from the big blind and both Allison and Chet called. The flop came As-8c-4h and it checked to Paco, who bet 1,600. Allison thought briefly before moving all-in for 5,875 more.

"I tried to check it Paco," she said. Paco decided to call with Ah10h, which Allison had outkicked with her AcJc. A heart on the turn gave Paco more outs, but a black 4 on the river gave Allison the side pot. Tim held KhJh and was eliminated.

Let's Try That Again

Chase and Sam (pictured) clashed again when Chase moved all-in from early position with 975 and Michael called. Samantha moved all-in over the top for 2,525 more. Allison debated before folding and it folded around to Michael, who pitched his cards in the muck as well. Sam showed pocket nines while Chase held KhQs. The board ran out Ad-7d-7h-5c-2c and Chase was eliminated.

Eight High Good

Sam just won a pot on a KKJJ3 board with eight high. Chase was playing the board. It isn't as bad as it sounds--Sam had pocket eights and Chase had deuces

Dropping Like Flies

We've had a flurry of bust outs, so here is what y'all need to know:

Randy, Keith, and Joe D (pictured) have been eliminated.

We're down to 19 players.

Blinds are at 100/200.

A Classic Suck, Re-Suck Situation

In a truly gross hand Jeremy and Chris J (pictured)got it all-in with Chris holding AK and Jeremy holding pocket jacks. Jeremy took a pretty substantial lead when the flop came Js-10h-4d. Chris caught a miracle on the turn when the Qc fell, but his celebration was short-lived as the 4c paired the board on the river and gave Jeremy a full house.

Brandy, You're a Fine Girl

Remember Brandy (pictured) from Week 1? Of the stop sign fame? She's back! And she just doubled up. Jeremy and Kevin R limped in, Tristan completed the small blind, and Brandy moved all-in for 525 more and Jeremy, in an effort to maintain his reputation for abysmal play called with 29--the mullet---suited. Brandy held pocket sevens and, to no one's surprise, they managed to hold and she more than doubled up.

Armenian Poker Tour

Michael is regaling us with stories of how Sosse walked away from a $.10/$.25 game with $1400 in profit at one of their home games in Armenia. Keep in mind how much money that is. "I went to my home game and won a house," I joked.

I think a field trip might be in order. Lex Vegas Poker is going international!

Blinds Up!

Blinds are up to 75/150

Go Jump Off a Cliff

Cliff (pictured) just got his pocket aces cracked so he and his trusty gas station Polar Pop have headed home for the evening.

This Means Four

Keith finally decided to fight back at Chase's (pictured) relentless raising by calling his preflop raise. The flop came As-8h-7c and Keith bet 500. Chase thought briefly before calling. The turn was the 4c and Keith checked. Chase moved all-in for his last 1075 and Keith thought for a long time before calling. Chase showed pocket fours and turned a set while Keith held Ad-2d for top pair. Chase doubled up again and Keith was left wondering if poker really is a game of skill.

If you ask me, that is what you get for raising with KJ.

Chase in a Hurry

Chase is raising literally every hand. The last hand he had to turn face up was K-5, but no one has the nerve to call him.

Tootie-Loo!

Tootie is out as well. Bye yo.

Mad Man Makes Two Pair

I missed some of the preflop action but Chase moved all-in preflop and got called by Kevin M (pictured), Keith, and Allison. Action checked around on the Qs-Jh-10h flop. The turn was the Ad and it checked to Kevin, who moved all-in for his last1,000. Keith folded and Allison called. Here is what everyone had:

Chase: Kc5s (A high straight)
Kevin: A-10 (2 pair)
Allison: 8d-9d ( Q high straight)

The river was another J and Allison took the side pot while Chase tripled up. Poor Kevin walked away with nothing and the Mad Man headed off into the night.

Stoopid Kojak

Keith just raised under the gun with K-J off suit and I lost a little respect for him. A piece of my heart died too. How's that for objective journalism?

Is It Chilly? Cause There Was Quite a Cooler in Here

Blinds are now up to 25/50.

Patrick "Shipwreck" K. raised to 225 and Allison (pictured) called behind him. Keith called as well and then Chase reraised to 700 total from the small blind. Patrick moved all-in and Allison instantly moved all-in behind him. Keith folded quickly and Chase seemed to mull over a painful decision before folding.

It was a good thing Chase got out of the way as Patrick held K-K to Allison's A-A. He managed to pick up a flush draw on the turn, but bricked out to double Allison up and leave him with around 2.5K.

Rachel Makes a Late Arrival

Rachel appears to be channeling her inner Hellmuth and has made a fashionably late arrival. She claims it was "traffic's fault", but we have to give her just a little crap for her recent success = )

Robinette Makes a Cameo

We've already had our first elimination of the night. Robinette (pictured) and Chris J got it-all in on a K-10-9 with Robinette holding A-K for top pair, top kicker. He was drawing slim to Chris' Q-J for a flopped straight. Robinette failed to pull out a miracle on the turn and river and quickly breezed out the door.

Oh Hey, President's Day!

Week 3 of the MNS is underway and I guess people want to celebrate the holiday by playing the game our federal government is trying so valiantly to outlaw. We have a remarkable 27 players at three tables.

The cards are in the air and the blinds are starting at 25/25.
