Scotty raised to 500 and it folded around to Laurie (pictured), who moved all-in for 1,375 total. Scotty called with his pocket eights, which were trailing Laurie's kings.
The flop was Jd-8s-5h and we were all concerned this might be the end for Laurie. However, a king on the turn surged her back into the lead. The ace on the river sealed the deal and she doubled up to around the size of the starting stack.
I, for one, am glad to see Laurie stick around as we are bidding her farewell tonight as she heads back to the Garden State, home of sewage treatment plants and Bruce Springstein. You will be missed!!
